Licensed Healthcare Roles

These positions require Swedish licensure (legitimation) from the Socialstyrelsen (National Board of Health and Welfare) . A form will be shared during application The process involves credential evaluation, possible supplementary education, and Swedish language proficiency. Minimum B2 Swedish proficiency is required for all licensed roles.

We work closely with our recruitment partners, employers, and the Swedish regulator to support candidates applying for licensed medical positions in obtaining their Swedish medical licenses within their first year of employment. The process is as follows:

  1. During the application stage, candidates complete the Socialstyrelsen (Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare) application form and submit it together with all required supporting documents.
  2. We review and forward the complete application to our partners in Sweden, including CureStaff and the employing healthcare provider, who then submit the documents to the Swedish regulator.
  3. Socialstyrelsen inspects and verifies all documents—particularly academic qualifications—to ensure they meet Swedish standards. The licensing process is then placed on pending status while the candidate prepares to work in Sweden.
  4. Upon arrival in Sweden, candidates report to their workplace and begin a 6–9 month paid internship, which includes supervised clinical work, workplace-based training, and continued language support.
  5. At the end of the internship period, candidates sit for the Kunskapsprovet (licensing board examination). Upon passing, they are granted full licensure, allowing them to work independently in Sweden.
